So I needed some more storage space in my server, so I ordered a 1 Terabyte hard drive. It ended up costing about $110 or so, but worth it. Of course, as with all my hard drives, it is a Western Digital.
The server now has 2.5 TB of storage!!!!
So there has been a woot off these past 2 days and I was able to score a Kyocera laser network color printer for $150. Its a good thing that it is Kyocera, because thats what we service at teh workplace. I also scored 2 flying woot monkeys and 2 sets of rotating woot off lights.
I have a (cough cough) small home network. Here are some pictures of the rack. On the top you can see the patch panel, the switch below the switch, then you can see the modem and router sitting in the back, and the multiplexer for the camera system, 2 servers, a hard drive array, and another server. Thats pretty much it…for now.
Okay, here are some pictures of the shed I’ve been working on….it has 220v 30a power service tied in with the house, as well as 2 network ports running to to the house one of which is gigabit. Any questions should be left in the comments…
So while at Home Depot today to get some pipe and other things for building an antenna, I walked past some water dispensers and seeing how Rocky loves them I decided to get one for her. Just another one of many weird things at teh house……
Aka teh shed got some more work yesterday, with my tax refund I was able to buy some more things for the shed. Yesterday I got the roof on and today I’m going to try and get the floor done and then theres just some little things here and there that need to be done and then it will be completed!
